Now I've got my own business!

I am Icelandic/French and have been living in Copenhagen for 7 years. I wanted to start my own company in Baby Equipment Rentals. When you are starting your own business, you are working alone most of the times. I felt the need to have a mentor to be able to share my ideas, my successes, my worries and problems that were coming along the way.

Thankfully, Kvinfo introduced me to my Kvinfo-mentor Annelise Monsen who had experience in launching a company and running a business-to-consumer company.

Annelise not only gave me moral support but also professional advice.  Best of all, she forced me to get organized by doing plans and budgets in details. This helped me to get an overview without missing important things during the launch of my company.

Our meetings were in average 4 hours long and held once per month. I also sent my mentor updates by email in between our meetings.

After 7 months of mentoring, I had already launched my own web-business in Baby Equipment Rental (Udlejning af Babyudstyr), named MUU Baby Equipment Rental, www.muu.dk.

Since I have reached my goal, Annelise Monsen is not mentoring me any longer, but we are staying in touch as business friends.
